Celebrating 50 years of the Southern New England Chapter of the American Fisheries Society
First Joint Meeting between SNEC and NED!
This year marks the 50th year of the Southern New England Chapter (SNEC) of the American Fisheries Society. Please join us in celebrating with the first joint meeting between SNEC and the Northeastern Division (NED). This meeting will serve as the 2017 divisional AFS meeting. Chapters should plan on sending their presidents (or delegates) for the annual in-person ExComm meeting/dinner.
This event will include two half-day workshops, two days of presentations including a plenary program, contributed presentations and a keynote address. SNEC and NED will combine to judge student presentations and will award outstanding talks and posters. The NED and SNEC Annual Business Meetings will happen too, and of course a private birthday party at Mystic Aquarium! The Mystic Hilton is adjacent to and just a short walk from the Aquarium and several quality dining options.
The theme of the meeting is SNEC at 50: Past, Present, and Future of our Fisheries.
Abstract Deadline is December 16th, 2016.
We are accepting both oral and poster presentations and especially encourage abstracts from all interested NED members: you do not have to be a SNEC member to present!
Please submit your abstracts electronically at http://tinyurl.com/SNEC-abstract
